Chawalwa Sarju52 Raw Rice. (26 KG) This rice has been known for centuries in both East and West Champaran as 'Sarjubawan', but it nearly became extinct because it's rice was primarily used for processing 'Chura'. With the shortage, the people of Champaran began using Parmal rice, which was not only expensive, but a far inferior substitute that did not have the sweet taste of Sarjubawan rice. We are bring back this traditional heritage! Chawalwa Arwa rice is produced from the unique Sarjubawan rice grown in the important Champaran area of Harnatand, Bagaha, Ramnagar, Narkatiaganj, Chanpatia, Lauriya, Bairia, and Majhauliya. This rice which is so slightly coarse has a naturally sweet taste and is the favorite rice of the Bhojpur area. This is why it is called 'Chawalwa' in Bhojpuri
